Location
Applecross is situated in the North West of Scotland, it is about a 6 hour journey by car from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

From Edinburgh follow the signs for the A90 Forth Road Bridge and after crossing the bridge follow the M90 to Perth and then the A9 to Inverness.

From Glasgow take the M80 to Stirling and then the M9 and A9 to Perth before following the A9 North to Inverness.

From Inverness take the A9 across the Kessock bridge to Tore following the signposts for Ullapool. After Tore follow the A835 until Garve, just after Garve take a left turn onto the A832 signposted for Achnasheen.
At Achnasheen take a left at the roundabout onto the A890 signposted Lochcarron. and follow the signs for Lochcarron (the road changes to the A896).

Drive through Lochcarron and follow the road, pass through Kishorn and 2 miles further on you will come to a left turn sign-posted for Applecross. This turning will take you to Applecross via the pass of the cattle (Bealach nam bo) the highest road in Scotland and not for the faint hearted ! If you wish to avoid the pass there is a an alternative; carry straight on at the left turn and in 12 miles you will come to another turning to Applecross which will take you round the coast road.

On the Applecross peninsula Holly's house can be found at the township of Lonbain, about 7 miles North of Applecross. From Applecrosss take the coast road heading North (around the bay) until you see the signpost for Lonbain. Turn left down the steep hill and at the bottom of the road Holly's house is immediately on your left.
